Liverpool punk quartet STONE have continued to grow over the years, and with their biggest UK tour yet kicking off 2024 in style, what better way to start the tour with a packed out show in Leeds.

The Leeds audience welcomed grunge-inspired band TOUGH COOKIE as they took the stage. Their fantastic performance had the Yorkshire audience fired up, with a set full of relentless intensity and riffs. In order to make sure that people wouldn’t forget about them anytime soon, the frontman braved the barrier to perform their last song.

After a short interval, the scousers began to make their way onto the stage, with ‘Breathe‘ by The Prodigy blaring over the PA. The audience erupted in ecstasy as the quartet emerged from the wings. The youthful Liverpool punks truly know how to put on a show, kicking off with an intense performance of ‘I Let Go‘ to light up the room. Vocalist Fin Power never stopped as he continued jumping around and kicking his legs above his head and covering every square inch of the stage—all without skipping a word.

Swiftly moving on with ‘Keep Running‘, which is a more subdued track that gave the enthusiastic Leeds audience a chance to relax after going all out in the first song. STONE‘s songs have more intensity live since they feed off the enthusiasm of the audience. The set list was expanded to include a few previously unheard songs from their upcoming debut album. Although not many people have heard these songs before, they were all warmly received and, based on the interest of the Leeds audience, will undoubtedly become a regular feature in the band’s future set lists.

Notable songs ‘Left Right Forward‘ and ‘Let’s Dance to the Real Thing‘ brought out the best in both STONE and the crowd. The Leeds audience’s swaying mosh pits were outpacing the stage’s flashing lights, all the while the foursome continued strutting around the stage in their typical style.

After expanding their venues on every tour, the Scousers put on another incredible show that ended with the powerful anthems ‘Waste‘ and ‘Leave It Out‘. It won’t be long until these guys are playing on festival main stages and perhaps even in their hometown arena. Don’t hang around; it’s still not too late to get to know STONE.
