Following their performance at Wembley Arena show only a few days prior, Scotland’s TWIN ATLANTIC delighted the packed house at the Steel City with their entertaining live performance, which coincided with the announcement of their upcoming seventh album.
Keeping the new album in mind, the band made their entrance to a thunderous applause, kicking off with ‘World Class Entertainment‘ which, based on the enthusiastic response from the audience, has already become a mainstay in their arsenal. The new music didn’t end there, as their previous single ‘Asleep‘ was included early in the performance to give listeners a preview of what to anticipate from the next album.
Nevertheless, a plethora of successes quickly followed, with ‘Hold On‘ encouraging audience participation and ‘Make A Beast of Myself’ turning things up a notch. The atmosphere was fantastic, frontman Sam McTrusty was certainly up for it as the Yorkshire shouts began pouring in.
The atmosphere in the room was maintained throughout the evening with songs like ‘Barcelona’ and ‘Brothers & Sisters’. Then, for the stunning song ‘Crash Land‘, the volume was lowered to enable the Sheffield crowd to sing along as loudly as they could, which was definitely accomplished. The occasion was made even more memorable by the stage lighting reflecting off the disco ball in the middle of the venue.
The band’s comeback song, ‘Stuck In A Car With You‘ was thrown into the mix, and the ever-pleasant ‘Free‘ gave the Sheffield crowd a chance to take centre stage once more for this timeless classic. Nevertheless, the tempo quickly accelerated. The band members’ expressions were all grins as they played ‘Heart & Soul‘ to end the show in the traditional way and cap off another incredible performance in Sheffield.
