The iconic Manchester band OASIS have announced they will be reforming for a series of summer shows in 2025, including a ray of hometown performances.
Since the bands split in 2009, Noel and Liam Gallagher have gone on to secure hugely successful solo careers, with 10 UK #1 albums between them and numerous sold out UK tours over the last 15 years, the Gallagher brothers have come together once again to deliver the OASIS live experience to an even bigger audience than ever before.
In a press release, the band commented:
“The guns have fallen silent.
The stars have aligned.
The great wait is over.
Come see.
It will not be televised.”
The band’s success quickly grew off the back of their legendary debut release ‘Definitely Maybe‘ back in 1994, which saw them go on to headline the likes of Maine Road stadium, two nights at Knebworth, both Wembley Stadiums and the City of Manchester stadium. All seven of OASIS‘ studio albums reached #1 in the UK album charts, with their 2010 compilation ‘Time Flies…‘ reaching the same feat a year after the bands split.
The bands ‘Live ’25‘ UK dates were also revealed as part of the reunion announcement, with shows in Manchester, London, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Dublin all featuring as the bands only European dates of 2025.
