Welsh covers band PUNK ROCK FACTORY are set to release their brand new album ‘All Hands on Deck‘ 14th February, a record consisting of “90’s bangers given the pop-punk treatment”. We pitched some questions to the band after the release of their latest cover ‘C’est La Vie‘.

What has the reception been like to deliver ‘C’est La Vie’ in a new light?

PRF: We have genuinely been blown away with how this song has been received! It must be such a guilty pleasure track for so many people! EVERYONE instantly sings it and the entire crowd is bouncing every time we play it live!

Are you excited for the release of your new album ‘All Hands on Deck’?

PRF: Everyone says it about their new record, but this really is the best album we have ever done… from the track listing, to the production, we think it’s a masterpiece and are so proud of it!! We cannot wait for the whole album to drop!

Is it difficult to pick what covers are going to be included on the album?

PRF: It’s always the same! We start with a ridiculously long list of songs suggestions from us and fans, then we work through it, lose some and record some. There are always tracks that we see through until the end then decide we don’t like it haha! Maybe one day we’ll release an album of previously unfinished tracks!

How has the UK tour gone so far?

PRF: This tour has been an absolute beast! so many shows and all varying in capacity! From 400 – 2500 and we have loved every one of them! The smaller, sweaty club shows are always an absolute scream. We have so much fun! And then the huge shows take our breath away every single time!

What songs from the new album have gone down the best during the live shows?

PRF: Well so far, we have only added the 2 singles into the set. C’est La Vie and Back For Good. But they have gone down better than we ever expected. Probably some of the most well received in the set!

Is there any particular song on the album that will surprise your fans?

PRF: 100% yes! Teardrop by Massive Attack and Gangstas Paradise by Coolio sound like nothing we’ve ever done before, and because of that they are 2 of our favourites!

Are plans for 2025 already in the works? Can fans expect a tour or festival appearances?

PRF: There are a lot of ifs and maybes kicking about right now, but there will be some big announcements for sure!

What makes covering songs and giving them a pop-punk twist so enjoyable?

PRF: We love the fact that we turn people’s guilty pleasures into tracks they deem acceptable to listen to in public haha! Songs that people love in everyone’s favourite genre! It’s perfect!
