The legendary BLACK SABBATH are set to take it back to where it all began in Aston, Birmingham for one final showdown at Aston Villa’s stadium, Villa Park.

It has been 20 years since Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward performed together, with their final UK show as the legendary four at Ozzfest/Download 2005.

In a press release, Osbourne said “It’s my time to go Back to the Beginning….time for me to give back to the place where I was born. How blessed am I to do it with the help of people whom I love. Birmingham is the true home of metal. Birmingham Forever.”

Frontman Ozzy Osbourne is set to perform his final solo show also on the night, with a short set scheduled before reuniting with his band mates on stage for one final time.

A star studded line-up will join Sabbath for this historic event, including heavy metal icons METALLICA, the return of SLAYER and after their first UK tour in 20 years, PANTERA.

ALICE IN CHAINS, GOJIRA, HALESTORM, LAMB OF GOD, ANTHRAX and MASTODON complete the band line-up.

Additional performances including Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst, Jonathan Davis of Korn and Guns N Roses members Slash and Duff McKagan will also be appearing on the day.

The full line-up can be found on the poster below.

It has also been revealed that all profits from the show will be shared equally between Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.

Tickets go on general sale on Friday 14th February 2025 at 10am.

Back to the Beginning takes place at Villa Park stadium, Birmingham on Saturday 5th July 2025.
