Fresh from Shiiine On’s 10th anniversary in Skegness, ECHOBELLY made the trip across to South Yorkshire for a Sunday night performance in Mexborough. With an exciting 2025 ahead of them, this was the perfect warm-up for the band before taking on the big rooms later in the year.

Making her return to the venue, Barnsley’s HARRIET ROSE was accompanied by her band for this performance. The Americana style was a great upbeat kick start to the night, with ROSE‘s elegant vocals a focal point throughout the set. A cover of fellow South Yorkshire native Reverend & The Makers’ ‘Heavyweight Champion of the World‘ has become a staple in her set list, and the track has been given a new lease of life whilst being accompanied by her band. The track starts off as its usual calming introduction before the band kicks in to give it a real upbeat feel to it to get anyone’s feet tapping along. Well recevied tracks ‘Good Time Honey‘ and ‘Empire‘ also featured on the night, capping off a brilliant return to Mexborough for ROSE.

As ECHOBELLY made their way on to the stage, the crowd greeted the band with an eruption of cheers as they took their positions to take Mexborough down memory lane. Kicking off their set with ‘I Can’t Imagine the World Without Me‘, with the audience easing in to the set themselves track by track. Early additions of ‘I’m Not A Saint‘ and ‘Fear of Flying‘ had people off of their feet and joining in, with Sonya asking for more from the crowd on the next song. ‘Great Things’ kicked in, and her wishes were granted, as those on the balcony made their way down to the dancefloor to get more involved.

As the set was coming to a close, ECHOBELLY rounded off with fan favourite ‘King of the Kerb‘ to give the Mexborough crowd one last chance to singalong before a roar that filled the room to applaud the bands performances. Instead of exiting the stage to build up the anticipation, the band remaining on stage for the finale, concluding their show with ‘Dark Therapy‘ to cap off an incredible display on their Mexborough debut.
