Selling out their debut UK headline tour, London indie-pop quartet DAYDREAMERS kicked off their 2025 with a bang. After a successful visit to the city last year, the band took matters into their own hands with a sold out performance at one of Leeds’ most adored intimate venues, Oporto.
The night began with solo singer-songwriter ELLE COVES, who immediately had the capacity crowd in the palm of her hand. A rendition of ‘Teenage Dirtbag‘ saw the whole room singing along to her own take on it. COVES‘ elegant vocals and guitar playing kept the audience engaged, with her track ‘Calling It Love‘ becoming a standout from her opening slot.
The room continued to fill out, now with little to no space to breathe, DAYDREAMERS took their podiums for their first ever Leeds headline performance. Opening their set with ‘Beach House‘, frontman Riley couldn’t help but smile throughout the song, greeting the Leeds crowd immediately after the first track. ‘Colourblind‘ had the whole venue singing along and ‘All I Ever Dream About‘ got everyone dancing, with little encouragement from Riley, showcasing the crowd are already very familiar with how this song is played out. The unreleased ‘Good Intentions’ kept those in attendance engaged and eager for new music from the band, with further new material filling up half of the set list.

Further fan favourites featured as ‘We Don’t Need To Do Forever‘ and ‘Don’t Delete My Number‘ continued the bands positive reception, whilst the unrelease ‘Sidelines‘ was nestled in between to further showcase what the future holds. Bassist Aurora was grinning throughout every song, proving that being on stage is where the band are clearly their most happiest. Returning to the stage, Elle Coves joined in on the emotional ‘Hope You’re Happy‘, lending the song a fresh new dimension with her sophisticated vocals.
Now into the final stages of the show, ‘Start Living‘ served as the band’s final unreleased track of the night, bringing their total number of new songs to six. Many were pleasantly surprised by the bands rendition of Taylor Swift’s ‘Fortnight‘, which had everyone inside Oporto singing along once again before ‘Call Me Up‘ concluded the performance and gave DAYDREAMERS the best possible ending with a huge uproar across the room.
