This summer, Isle of Wight band WET LEG are set to release their second album, marking their comeback to the live circuit. Following the success of their debut, the band is now officially entering a new period as a five-piece, which sees them perform live for the first time since the 2024 festival season with a short run of shows across the UK.

An eerie entrance with darkness and smoke excited the capacity Leeds crowd and once Henry, Josh and Ellis made their way on the stage, cheers filled the room as the excitement continued to build up quickly. Finally, Rhian and Hester followed as the crowd exploded in screams and applause. WET LEG kicked off their set with ‘catch these fists‘, which further demonstrated how dedicated their fanbase are as during the whole song, the audience sang every word, proving this is already a firm favourite.

Before playing a series of songs from their chart-topping debut to get the audience excited, the unreleased song ‘liquidize‘ carried over the new album’s songs into the set. Everyone in the room joined in for ‘Being In Love‘, while fan favourite ‘Wet Dream‘ only added to the enormous reception the band received just five songs in. With ‘pillow talk‘ becoming a standout amongst the new material, the set list proceeded to switch between the self-titled and ‘moisturizer‘ songs throughout the performance.

WET LEG didn’t waste any time in ploughing through their set; ‘Ur Mum‘ saw the audience’s involvement surge once more and ‘Angelica‘ expertly set up the finale. As anticipated, ‘Chaise Longue‘ was just as warmly received as ‘Wet Dream‘, with the Leeds crowd yelling the “What?” line to Rhian’s joy. The quintet concluded their 60-minute concert with their most recent single, ‘CPR‘, which was only released a day prior to the show. The entire front section joined in for the final track of the evening, demonstrating how devoted the WET LEG fanbase is with just 24 hours notice of their new single.

After almost a full year away, WET LEG have shown no signs of rustiness and with their new album set for release on 11th July, it is an exciting time for both the band and their fanbase this year.
