Kicking off their ‘In the Infinite Forest‘ UK tour with a return to the steel city of Sheffield, Maryland alt-rockers THE DANGEROUS SUMMER are back in the UK once again for a series of shows ahead of their 2000 Trees performance.

Opening the show were local pop-punk outfit X2 FAST. The energetic quintet brought their positive energy to their hometown, with speedy guitars and lively stage presence to warm up the crowd. The band attracted a bunch of new fans on the night, with their reception after each song continuing to become louder. Their final song of the night ‘Chameleon‘ was certainly a highlight and even had some people in the crowd singing along too.

Just 14 months since their last visit to Sheffield, THE DANGEROUS SUMMER graced the Corporation stage. Launching into their set with ‘Gravity‘, the title track from the bands latest record, which has become their new opener for the last year. A monumental track of theirs, ‘Fuck Them All‘ soon followed, with the packed crowd joining in for the chorus. Throwing it back to the ‘War Paint‘ days with ‘No Ones Gonna Need You More‘, this had their old school fans joining in once again.

The set continued with the likes of ‘Pacific Ocean‘ and ‘Northern Lights‘ to keep the party going. Vocalist and bassist AJ Perdomo expressed his love for his now-fiancé on stage, having just got engaged recently in Barcelona. A beautiful moment between the band was shared as they popped champagne for a quick celebration, and the crowd joined in for the toast before normal service resumed. ‘Permanent Rain‘ and ‘Where I Want To Be‘ rounded off TDS‘ return to the steel city in style once again. Here is to hoping their journey back across the pond isn’t too long of a wait.
