25 years later Five are back with all five original members: Scott Robinson, Ritchie Neville, Sean Conlon, Abz Love and Jason ‘J’ Brown reunited as a five piece for the first time in 25 years delighting fans across the UK for their Keep on Movin’ reunion tour.
Manchester’s Co-Op Live was brimming with anticipation for the Pop comeback of the year from the moment the doors to the arena opened. Mistajam, former Radio 1 and Capital favourite, got the party started. Stepping in for Naughty Boy the crowd were not left disappointed as he hyped the crowd up with old school rave classics. Blasting out huge tracks like, Eurythmics Sweet Dreams and Take That’s The Greatest Day filled the speakers. By the end of his set the Manchester crowd was ready for a night packed with nostalgia and chart-topping anthems.
The show officially started with a special video message from Scott Mills, Brian May, Daisy May Cooper and Olly Murs each one of them expressing their excitement for what many fans believed they would never see again. After two decades apart the energy in the arena could not have been higher.
Five wasted no time launching straight into ‘Slam Dunk Da Funk‘ they made it clear from the get-go that this was the pop comeback of 2025. Despite it being 25 years since they had performed together, they moved in the perfect sync that they had all those years ago. Still possessing the spark that set them apart from every other 90s boyband. The magic which was Five truly never faded.
There was an unmistakeable level of energy inside the arena as it was the first time Five had ever played Co-Op Live (which didn’t even exist back in the 90s) and the crowd welcomed them as if they never left. For many this was a nostalgic journey back to the golden era of pop boybands.
With three chart topping studio albums under their belt, Five delivered a setlist packed with 90s nostalgia where each song was met like an old friend by the audience who sang and danced along to every lyric.
Their rendition of Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You‘ blew the roof off the arena, the track got the crowd stomping and clapping to the lively pulsating drumbeat. It was as thrill to see all five members sharing a stage once again with the same energy and chemistry as they had back in 1998 was an unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
The night had become a huge party and celebration for the fans who never stopped loving their childhood boyband. As the five-piece belted out their hit ‘Everybody Get Up‘ and if everyone wasn’t already up on their feet they certainly were now. Their chemistry as a group was undeniable but the connection, they share with their fans was as strong as ever.
The encore started with a musical medley of pop club classics including ‘Jump Around‘, ‘Place Your Hands‘ and ‘Get Lucky‘. They ended the night with ‘Keep on Movin‘ and it was a triumphant reminder of why Five captured the hearts of so many in the first place and were the soundtrack to thousands of childhoods
