After seven years away, Bingley math rock outfit MARMOZETS made their long awaited return to the stage with the short trip over to Huddersfield for a sold out tour opener at Parish.

A brimming venue couldn’t contain their excitement any longer, and the band soon emerged from their dressing room onto the stage. The room erupted in cheers as the intro of their latest single ‘A Kiss From a Mother’ received its first live run. Already becoming familiar with their fanbase, the majority of the crowd were joining in from the get go. After a brimming reception after the opening track, the emotions were high across the room. Not only from a packed audience feeling blessed to witness the bands’ return, but for all four members of MARMOZETS, which saw them fighting back any sign of vulnerability as they now had a job to do.

Their debut’s title track ‘Weird and Wonderful’ followed by fan favourite ‘Is It Horrible’ came around, this now had the place bouncing and singing at a whole new level, proving how missed the Bingley band are. Treating the capacity crowd to another new song, this time in the form of ‘You Want the Truth‘, before returning to more established tracks ‘Habits‘ and the crowd pleasing ‘Move, Shake, Hide‘ to get the venue lively once again. Nestled in between two new songs ‘Cut Back‘ and ‘New York‘, the blissful ‘Captivate You‘ received a thunderous cheer, with all four members once again struggling to hide their appreciation for a Monday night sell out and first show back.

Rounding off their return with ‘Why Do You Hate Me?‘ and finally ‘Major System Error‘ for one last blast in Huddersfield before bowing out with yet another huge roar from the crowd for what was a monumental evening. The show served as the perfect set up of a new era for the Bingley quartet, as their third album looms in the (hopefully) not too far distance and there is still still a sold out UK tour to kick off 2026 for not only the band to look forward to, but also their fans who have waited for so long to witness MARMOZETS back where they belong.
