Heading into their 23rd year as a band, Baltimore pop-rockers All Time Low made their return to the UK in celebration of their tenth studio album ‘Everyone’s Talking!‘. Released just over two years since their previous record, this marks ATL‘s most honest release to date, and what better way to treat the UK fans that have stuck by the band for so many years than taking on the biggest arena in Britain and bringing more people together than ever before.

Already familiar with the UK were main support act and Florida’s finest, Mayday Parade. Having toured the UK for almost the entirety of their 21 year existence, an arena was unfamiliar territory for the band, but having performance on festival main stages here previously, Mayday took it in their stride and put everything into their ten song set. The arena was almost at full capacity at this stage, so a warm welcome was guaranteed. Making their way onto the huge stage, ‘Under My Sweater‘ kicked off their set. Derek Sanders made use of their extended stage, walking out into almost the centre of the arena as ‘Jersey‘ came around next. Clinging onto his hair as he jumped around the stage, Sanders maintained his usual stage antics throughout the show, as did Lorenzo’s constant bass swinging in between lyrics. Wasting no time, the band brought it down a level for ‘Oh Well, Oh Well‘, which saw the entire arena light up with phone torches until the song kicks in. Sanders returned to the catwalk for ‘Black Cat‘ and finally fan favourite ‘Jamie All Over‘ which had virtually the whole venue singing along for the grand finale.

As the whole arena turned to darkness, ATL‘s intro was displayed on the screens in an American sitcom style. The moment it finished, a spotlight shined on the end of the runway where Alex Gaskarth stood and performed the albums opener ‘[cold open]‘. The acoustic intro to the set was the perfect way to build up further excitement, which saw Gaskarth make his way back to the main section of the stage where the rest of ATL appeared to kick things off in true fashion with ‘SUCKERPUNCH‘. Confetti was unleashed all over the standing section, covering those in ribbons as the song progressed into fan favourite ‘Weightless‘. Barakat could be seen jumping around the stage, rolling around during songs and just being Jack basically.

Throwing in fan favourites ‘Poppin’ Champagne‘, ‘Damned If I Do Ya (Damned If I Don’t)’ and ‘Time-Bomb’ early into the set, Gaskarth then took a moment to take in the sheer size of the venue, how many people were there to watch them perform, and his gratitude then became a theme for the remainder of the night. ‘Falling for Strangers‘ had the whole place singing once again, showing that ‘Everyone’s Talking!‘ has gone down a storm in the UK. Alex and Jack then performed ‘Missing You‘ acoustically ahead of ‘Remembering Sunday‘ came around as Taylor Acorn made her way out to join in for the final part of the track.

A quick outfit change while ‘Goodnight C’est La Vie‘ played out, ATL returned to the stage for ‘Butterflies‘, a firm favourite from the new record and Gaskarth dropped his guitar for this one, giving him free reign to get even closer to the screaming fans down the front. Detailing the story behind getting JoJo onboard for the next song, ‘Sugar‘ came around for what Alex said was his favourite song from the band at this current stage, then unleashed into the much heavier ‘Hate This Song‘ and displayed his rapping abilities during ‘Monsters‘ as they bowed out of the arena, for now.

Drummer Rian Dawson returned to the stage for a quick drum solo before the remaining members reappeared after yet another outfit change just in time for ‘The Weather‘ to conclude the new albums’ tracks. The electric ‘Lost In Stereo‘ had the whole arena bouncing once again and after Alex thanked the crowd for taking care of each other, it was time for the grand finale. Of course, it was ‘Dear Maria, Count Me In‘. The arena was at its loudest at this point, and after a huge spray of confetti covering the arena for the final chorus, a thunderous cheer saw off All Time Low‘s grand return to the UK and arguably their most adored performance yet.
