Gia Ford performed at ‘Slay’ a small intimate venue in Glasgow on the 30th Of January 2026. She performed here as part of Independent Venue Week. Independent Venue Week is all about celebrating and supporting the people who run and own venues, whilst also encouraging artists and audience members to understand the role independently owned venues play in communities and the industry. Independent Venues often give artists / performers their first chance to perform, learn and grow. Whilst also giving concert goers a chance to find small and local artists to support.

Gia is confident and an impeccable vocalist. Watching Gia and her two support acts felt very welcoming, and comfortable, the atmosphere was very energetic and created a close connection with the audience. It was nice to be able to see some new artists who are still learning, it felt very authentic.

Gia performed one of her most popular releases ‘Poolside‘ and songs from her album ‘Transparent Things‘. The show was very enjoyable as Gia engaged with the audience whilst also putting on a great show.  My favourite part of the show was when she sang ‘How Do I Reply‘ because even though it’s a very new release, and a small intimate venue, everyone was dancing and singing along.
