Brooke Combe brought the second night of her ‘This Town’ acoustic tour to Preston’s New Continental, transforming the intimate venue into the perfect setting for an evening of stripped-back soul.

Performing a selection of tracks from her 2025 album Dancing On The Edge Of The World, alongside fan favourites from 2023’s Black Is The New Gold and her recent single How Can I Tell You (To Love Me More), Combe showcased the strength and versatility of her catalogue in its rawest form.

Following a trailblazing year of UK touring in support of her latest release, this acoustic run has allowed Combe to strip back to basics and spotlight the innate talent that defines her sound, a seamless blend of vintage soul and modern pop melodies. The atmosphere inside the New Continental was calm, attentive and warm; an ideal escape from the February chill outside.

Accompanied by guitarist Danny Murphy, Combe shared reflections on the past year, the evolution of her music and hints at what lies ahead, while expressing heartfelt gratitude to those who continue to support her journey. From start to finish, the audience remained captivated, a true testament to the power of simplicity when placed in the hands of a truly compelling performer.
