One of the fastest selling tours of the year soon came around, which saw UK based alternative act President make their debut in the city of Leeds to a packed Project House. Quickly attracting a huge fanbase that put the music first before those behind the masks, the Yorkshire crowd flocked to the Armley venue for a show that could remain as one of the bands smallest to date.

Opening the show was another masked act, TheBoyShadow. Having only made a handful of live performance since their unveiling at the start of 2026. The quartet delivered a ray of vocal ranges thrown in with heavy riffs and blast beat drums. The packed Leeds crowd ensured to welcome the UK’s newest heavy act with open arms. With just one song released so far titled ‘Give Me A Seam & I’ll Show You The Meaning‘, this didn’t put those willing to throw down off. Small pockets of mosh pits soon formed in the centre of the room while those at the back watched in awe of what seems to be an exciting prospect that will no doubt take the UK heavy scene by storm going forward.

The stage soon turned to darkness, and with the sunshine still shining through the glass of the Project House building, positive energy flowed throughout the room. The masked quartet made their way onto the stage one by one, with The President himself entering last, met with a roaring cheer that could be heard by the neighbouring Boom punters. Kicking off their set with ‘Fearless‘, quickly the audience made their voices heard as they became involved right from the off. Following with ‘Dionysus‘, more action began to unfold in the centre of the room before the more pop sounding ‘RAGE‘ came around.

Pretty much zero crowd interaction played a huge factor in their set, it was straight down to business for President as they let all the vocals do the talking. ‘Angel Wings‘ set up the surprise cover of one of Deftones’ most adored tracks ‘Change (In the House of Flies)‘, which was delivered with perfection. The tightness between the four members shows that these guys are not new to the game, but more seasoned veterans of the stage, whoever they may be.

Rounding off with ‘Conclave‘, the band exited the stage while the Leeds crowd were begging for more. A few minutes passed and they soon returned to see off the night. Their new single ‘Mercy‘ kicked things back off, with the capacity crowd already involved despite the track being out for less than four weeks. Stood behind the lectern that remaining at the centre of the stage, the band saw out the remainder of their performance with ‘Destroy Me‘ and finally their debut track, ‘In the Name of the Father’. The latter of the two, as expected, had the biggest interaction of them all. The venue was at its loudest, the crowd were more involved than ever and before they knew it, time was up. The President, Heist, Protest and Vice departed the stage.
