Returning for its sixth year, Get Together kicks off festival season once again as the event takes over Sheffield’s Kelham Island and Neepsend venues to bring a range of some of the finest upcoming acts and established names to intimate and industrial settings.
Local bunch TIDETIED made the short trip down to Kelham Island for their set at The Brewery Stage, situated in Heist Brew Co. The venue was already packed out for the Steel City band, giving them a welcomed homecoming after a successful run of shows on their UK tour earlier this year.
With an appearance in Sheffield lined up later in the year, this gave Lime Garden the ideal opportunity to recruit some new fans as well as please returning guests. A packed peddler warehouse greeted the Brighton quartet, loud cheers welcomed them on stage as they had a 45-minute set to entertain the Get Together crowd. Opening with ‘Body’, the audience that were lucky enough to get into the venue were up for it from the get go. Big hitters ‘I Want to Be You’ and ‘Love Song’ had the entire room singing along while tracks from their recent album ‘Maybe Not Tonight’ were already becoming firm favourites from many of their fans as they concluded with ’23’, the albums opener.
Returning to Get Together after a triumphant set back in 2024, the surprise late addition of Ellur performing not one by two sets on 24 hours notice was one that attracted many to both slots. The second of those took place at Church – Temple of Fun. The stage decor suited the performance perfectly, with flowers surrounding both the floor and ceiling, along with various paintings and photos spread across the venue walls. Regular anthems that Ellur continues to perfect with each performance include ‘The Wheel’, ‘Missing Kid’ and ‘God Help Me Now’, all taken from her beautiful debut record ‘At Home In My Mind’. Each song was met with a huge cheer from those who flocked to the venue, with Ellur dancing with two fans on the venue floor as ‘Disintegrate’ neared its conclusion to round off one of Get Together’s best sets of the day.
Serving as the co-headliner for the 2026 event was Fat Dog. Full of energy right from the off, the band ensured to leave their mark in Sheffield once again. Having wowed audiences at both of their Rock N Roll Circus shows last summer, this was a step up for the band with them attracting more of their fanbase to Get Together. Unleashing into their co-headline set with the unreleased ‘Smile and Wave’, the energy was already at an all time high, arguably the most energetic performance to grace Peddler Warehouse to date. Unreleased track ‘Cancel Me (I’m Tired)’ followed by 2025 single ‘Pray to That’ and their latest release ‘Go Fuck Urself’ showcase the new material the band have been working on, while still honouring ‘WOOF’ with ‘Wither’ and ‘Running closing out a non-stop lively set from Fat Dog.
Making waves in the UK indie scene are youngsters Cherryholt who topped the bill at Neepsend Social Club. With a busy summer under their belts, this was the perfect warm-up for the Birmingham quartet, and a headline performance was certainly displayed. Many were still feeling the effects from Fat Dog’s slot next door, so Cherryholt played to a room only half full, but that didn’t hinder their show as they still powered through their thirty minute slot with the same intensity. Their huge single ‘Irresistible’ had the fans who flocked to the intimate venue singing along, setting those who are either familiar with the band or newcomers to reunite for their UK tour at the end of 2026.
