Just two years on from their debut at The Piece Hall in Halifax, 00’s pop band McFly returned to the Grade I listed venue for another double offering which saw both dates sell out and becoming a generational band as those who fell in love with Tom, Dougie, Harry and Danny back in the mid 2000’s, are now bringing along their children 20+ years on.

Bursting into the top spot of the Official Album Charts with their debut album ‘Room On the 3rd Floor’ back in 2004, McFly went on to achieve the same feat with their follow up album ‘Wonderland’ the following year. Boasting four #1 UK Singles across both records, the London quartet have since topped the Singles Charts a further three more times alongside five further Top 10 records.

Crowds who attended the two nights in Halifax were treated to songs from all eras of the band. From fan favourite chart hits ‘Star Girl’, ‘Room On the 3rd Floor’ and ‘Transylvania’, a medley of covers that featured Bon Jovi’s ‘Livin’ On A Prayer’, Chappel Roan’s ‘Pink Pony Club’ and ‘Radio Ga Ga’ by Queen had the entire courtyard singing along. Even a small rendition of ‘Three Lions’ featured as fans prepared for England’s hopeful triumph in the 2026 World Cup.

Opening act Remember Monday joined McFly for ‘Happiness‘, before the band went onto conclude their Halifax return with ‘All About You‘, party anthem ‘Shine A Light‘ and finally ‘Five Colours In Her Hair‘ to bow out of Yorkshire in style.
