Following the success of their UK tour last year, Leicester band Mouth Culture embarked on a more lengthier run on home turf, performing in numerous cities and towns that were not featured on their 2025 run. The band’s sold out show in Sheffield saw them take on the main Corporation room for a night filled with pure energy from the very start.

As the quartet made their way on to the stage, touring drummer Max Nicolai was first to appear, with the trio then following him to a roaring cheer from the Steel City crowd. Wasting no time in getting the ball rolling, Mouth Culture kicked things off with ‘On and On’. Still serving as their latest single, the six month gap since its release has given fans plenty of time to become familiar with the more newer material, so this went down an absolute storm. The 2024 EP ‘Whatever the Weather’ was a real turning point for the band which saw then secure numerous opportunities across both the UK and Europe, so ‘Dead In Love’ was a great nod to what now feels like an ancient track but still showcasing exactly what the band are all about.

The Corporation main room was bouncing from the moment each song began, with a mixed bag of material from all eras featuring by the mid way point. ‘Honey’, ‘Happier’ and ‘Again’ were enough to give fans new and old something to shout about, while the more triumphant singles ‘Sharkbait’, ‘Regret 101’ and ‘Ratbag’ prove their sound has not only matured but packs a real punch compared to their earlier material. All four members on stage made sure to leave their mark in Sheffield, a city that has welcomed them with open arms for a number of years now and a clear favourite location for the band to visit when they can.

Mouth Culture rounded off their Steel City return with fan favourites ‘15 Missed Calls’ and ‘Don’t Pull Up’, making sure the remaining songs of their hour long set were their best yet. Unleashing pure energy and fight with little to no breather in between shows these guys still have much more to give, even when on the road which can tire out performers at any given stage.

Mouth Culture are seasoned veterans in this game, with plenty more to give still.
