2026 marks a monumental time for West Yorkshire’s Ellur. Kicking off the year with the release of their debut album ‘At Home In My Mind‘ and a sold out UK headline tour to accompany it just a couple of months later as a perfect warm-up ahead of a busy festival schedule this summer. Rounding off the ‘At Home On Tour‘ run in Sheffield, this served as the perfect conclusion with a spectacular Yorkshire finish.
The capacity crowd cheered as the band made their way onto the stage, one by one until Ellur appeared as the roar shook the walls of the narrow and compact Yellow Arch building. The calming opener of ‘Dream of Mine‘ set the tone for a night filled with personal songs, delivered with elegant vocals and soothing guitars and keys. A clear fan favourite followed next in the form of ‘The Wheel‘, as Ellur couldn’t contain her smiles as the packed room sang the words back just as peacefully. Continuing with tracks from the debut record, ‘Yellow Light‘, ‘Black Sands‘ and ‘Lonelier in Heaven‘ set up another known track ‘Missing Kid‘ to keep everyone’s voices heard.
The entire band were just as happy to be up there, with a Yorkshire crowd belting the words back to them all equally, they certainly felt ‘At Home On Tour‘. Powering through the remainder of the set, ‘The World Is Not An Oyster‘ played a huge part in getting the room pumped up once again. The records title track ‘At Home In My Mind‘ and album closer ‘Knowing‘ featured ahead of ‘God Help Me Now‘, which has been a staple in the set for sometime and a track that really sparked a new era for Ellur, but still honouring the older material.
The grand finale came in the form of ‘Caves, Handprints‘, as Ellur bowed out of a Yorkshire return, cheering at the sight of a white rose flag raised in the crowd. The ‘At Home On Tour‘ run served as the ideal start for what is yet to come. This is just the start.
