Since their triumphant reunion towards the end of 2025, Marmozets embarked on their third UK headline tour in just six months shortly after an intimate instore run of their long awaited third album ‘Co.War.Dice‘.
Almost eight years on since their last appearance in the Steel City, Marmozets returned to Sheffield to kick off their UK summer tour in style. A roaring crowd welcomed the band on stage as they opened their set with ‘A Kiss From A Mother’, the first single back after almost a decade away. Now very familiar with their fanbase, this has become a firm favourite for not just the crowd, but the band also. Thriving with honesty that shines throughout the ‘Co.War.Dice’ tracklisting, a live debut of ‘Mes Desires’ quickly followed to keep the energy flowing.
The more familiar ‘Move. Shake. Hide‘ gave the entire room the opportunity to join in. Becca watched on with a huge grin on her face while Jack and Sam let loose on stage. As they dipped in and out of all three records, the new material was just as welcomed as the throwbacks. ‘New York‘ and ‘Cut Back‘ have certainly made their mark in becoming fan favourites alongside ‘Weird and Wonderful’ and the emotional ‘Captivate You‘, with the latter welcomed by a huge scream from the Sheffield crowd as it began.
Another first for the Steel City was ‘Like Last Night‘, which gave the audience a moment to gather themselves ahead of ‘Is It Horrible‘, another one of Marmozets‘ timeless tracks. Becca thanked the fans for sticking around and supporting the band during their reunion shows, before rounding off the night with further golden oldies. ‘Why Do You Hate Me?‘ and ‘Major System Error‘ set up the grand finale of ‘Keep Going Darling‘, a song title that is very fitting for many reasons and for what could be the band’s last run of shows for sometime as the McIntyre’s and Bottomley’s look to welcome another addition to their family.
