The annual BBC Radio 2 in the Park takes on a nee site to close out the 2026 festival season in style. After successful editions in Leicester, Preston and Chelmsford over the years, this time sees the three day event make its way to Stirling Castle in Scotland, bringing yet another star studded line-up to festival goers.

Topping the bill this year will be the Queen of Funk herself Chaka Khan, and Scottish natives Simple Minds.

With a career spanning across five decades, former Rufus lead vocalist Chaka Khan topped the UK Singles Chart with her single ‘I Feel for You’ back in 1984, achieving Platinum status

Formed back in 1977 less than 30 miles down the road from the festival site, Simple Minds’ almost 50 year career has been nothing short of spectacular. Boasting three UK #1 studio albums alongside countless sold out shows across the globe, the Glasgow band will close out the festival in style.

Almost performing across the weekend are Steel City new wave band ABC, Liverpool Britpop legends Cast, chart topping boy band Blue, singer-songwriter James Blunt and Irish pop-band The Script to name a few, who have all gone on to achieve stellar careers during their time on the live circuit.

Native Scots Texas, Deacon Blue, Lulu and Emeli Sande are all set to make their homecoming as part of this years BBC Radio 2 in the Park. Jazz-funk band Level 42, sister duo Appleton and Jack Savoretti conclude the line-up of live acts set to perform across the weekend.

Radio 2 DJ’s Gary Davies, Rylan, Sara Cox, DJ Spoony and Michelle Visage are all set to entertain the crowds in-between the live acts as they bring unique and individual sets to Stirling Castle.
